Hello!  It's Journey to Nyx re-lease day!  Just a reminder that, I still have an anniversary special going on for Magic The Gathering products.  Most current (standard) MTG booster boxes are $93 a box or LESS!  These are products that I can replace from Wizards at direct factory cost.  I know that it is not a whole lot of difference from the usual $95 that we sell at, but when you are working on the smallish margins that we do in Honolulu, the 2 dollars matter and do add up.  


Journey to Nyx, Born of the Gods, Theros, M2014, & Dragon’s Maze are $93 OR LESS!  PLUS, I am adding a "MIX & MATCH" feature that allow you to combine different boosters to get case pricing!  Buy ANY 6 booster boxes from any of the THEROS BLOCK and or M14 FOR the $535 CASE PRICE!

I am still at the store prepping for my Sunday MTG pre-release events.  Everything ran amazingly smoothly today- thank you so much to those who came out to play!  I appreciate it very much.  🙂  

SUNDAY MTG EVENTS ARE AT 10AM, 1PM & 4:30PM NOW.  ALL ENTRY FEES $20!!!  ALL 40MINS & 3 ROUNDS EACH!!!!
Really like this block!  Seems to play really fast and I think everyone had a great time!  With all the extra events around town, my single event pre-registration is really bad for Sunday.  I heard that other venues have been price warring it out.  Just want to stress that our prize payout is really good.  You can bye & tie and get a pack.  You do not even have to really "win" to get rewarded.  Players that played at least 2 events all won packs.  All event are $20!  

Besides the players that have signed up for ALL the events, I only have 2 people signed up for single events and they were here when we adjusted the start time to Sundays events.  I am adjusting the starting times for the later events because of how fast the sets play together.  I want to avoid the long wait times between events.  If the time changes pose a problem for anyone, I'll make individual event adjustments on a case by case basis.  Plus, I'll make parking super easy and allow you to park in the lot for the 1pm & 4:30pm events.  Allowing parking because business in the square is usually slow during Sunday afternoons. 

We have lots of Journey to Nyx product.  If you don't have time to play and want a pre-prelease kit, stop by any of my events and feel free to enter and drop.  The kits have 2 Theros, 1 Born of the Gods, 2 Journey to Nyx + special color theme Nyx promo pack w/ cards that colored dice.  White is the only set color that we are really short on.

I hope that you all have had a very pleasant Good Friday Holiday.  My slave driver boss made me work…….  Yep, you all know that the slave driver is me right?!………The good news is that Easter is almost here.  To celebrate the greatest day Christian celebrate (besides Christmas), I am going to host a free MTG Standard constructed event on Sat. Wow!  What a beautiful day here in Honolulu!  Pretty quiet day here at the store, but had a few phone calls regarding my MTG events today.  Wizards website has us sanctioned for Standard and Sealed.  My website has us down for double standard…..Well, I have 3 players who said that they would like to play Sealed tonight, so I am going to change our late event to Theros Block Sealed.  I am very sorry for the late notice.  BTW, yes, next week's FNM  is 4 pm Standard and 6:15pm Modern.  Below are the rest of my MTG events as well.   I hope to see here!   🙂  PAULA

Paula’s will be closing at 4pm today (March 7th).

Hello All!

 
Keith and I will be closing early today, to attend a funeral that starts at 6pm.  My grandmother Dorothy Nakata passed away last month on Feb. 16th.  She was 95 years old and awesome!  I was so lucky to have her in my life for over 50 years (I'm 51) and I will miss her love and good nature very much.  My Grandmother was sharp until the end and lived a very full life.  She was such an avid UH Rainbow football fan, that she attended games well into her 80's.  Yes, even when they were bad.   She also sang amazing karaoke through her 90's.  I was very blessed to have such a fun loving and vibrant "Grams" be around for all these years. 

I will be closing early today around 4pm to celebrate her life.  Grandma Nakata's funeral is at 6pm at Honpa Hongwanji.  I thank you very much for your understanding and appreciate your patience.  I hope you all have a save and joyful weekend.  Take care and God Bless.
