I am sorry this posting is so late but been trying to be creative on my MTG Sat. events. Needless to say, that being "creative" is a bit tough for me (Paula) a non-mtg or non-gaming person. The 2pm 2013 COMMANDER event was something I dreamed up to be both different and high reward with minimal risks and a way everyone hopefully gets something useful to play in the future. Just for planning purposes I plan to have this event at least one more time after X-mas during fall break if it works out well. SAT. 11/09/2013 2PM 2013 COMMANDER – $45 CASH OR $48 DEBIT. WILL ALLOW DEBIT PAYMENTS DUE TO HIGH ENTRY FEE. ENTRY BUYS A "DRAFTED" COMMANDER SET, A MODERN MASTERS PACK & 100 PLAYERS CHOICE SLEEVES. I AM HOPING TO GET 6-8 PLAYERS, BUT 4 MINIMUM TO "DRAFT" YOUR COMMANDER DECK OUT OF A NEW SET. YOU WILL GET TO PICK YOUR COMMANDER SET LIKE HOW WE DO DRAFT ORDER – RANDOM (USING PLAYING CARDS OR ROLLING DICE). PLAYER KEEPS THE COMMANDER SET HE PICKS. PLAYS ONE-ON-ONE MATCHES. AT THE END OF THE EVENT, EVERYONE OPENS THEIR MODERN MASTERS PRIZE PACK AND PLACES THEIR CARDS FACE UP ON THE PRIZE DRAFTING TABLE. IN ORDER OF FINISH, THE CARDS ARE DRAFTED ONE BY ONE UNTIL THE CARDS ARE ALL TAKEN. EVERY PLAYER GETS TO DRAFT PRIZES. MAJORITY CAN DECIDES BEFORE START OF PLAY THAT THE PLAYER WHO IS "LUCKY" ENOUGH TO DRAFT "MIND SIEZE", CANNOT "WIN" EVENT OR PICK 1ST OR 2ND JUST TO SPREAD THE WEALTH……..SHOULD BE FUN – I THINK. 🙂
